Sober Options for Stress (S.O.S.) – Social Media Overhaul
Jim Rohn said, “Every day, stand guard at the door of your mind.” We need to be aware of and responsible for the messages that we allow to pass through our eyes and ears and into our hearts and brains.
The information we take in on a daily basis can have the same effect on our stress level and mood as junk food has on our waistline and physical energy. So take a minute to really ask yourself: Do I want to be mired down by fear mongering, negativity, and gossip or do I want to feel flush with happiness and the bright side of life?
Spring is the perfect time to clear out the junk in your social media feeds (fake news outlets, repetitive fear-based headlines, celebrity gossip, friends you hardly know that you constantly compare yourself to) and fill it back up with inspiration, beauty, joy, humor, and motivation. This is not about closing ourselves off to the realities of the world, it’s about consciously choosing love over fear. Don’t be daunted by this task–try to have fun with it. Who knows what amazing discoveries wait on the other side?
Live in love 💛 and light 💡

P.S. That photo above was taken on the northeast coast of Oahu at my old landlord’s ranch in Kahuku. That is a place I surely miss!
